Qualification: Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Fabrication & Welding
Carl came to CEATA through the government sponsorship scheme to better his skills and become an accredited welder.
Carl started the course with little knowledge and skills and was overwhelmed at first by the content needed to learn to reach his Diploma.
Without the necessary skills, Carl had his confidence knocked and felt that it directly affected his ability to speak out more and find the best opportunities for himself.
During the course Carl faced a few difficulties understanding the technical drawings but with the style and standard of teaching available and to his expectation, Carl found the drawings a mere stepping stone on his 6 week journey to becoming accredited.
Now finished, Carl is looking to progress into an apprenticeship and find work in the welding trade for a reputable company.
SPECIAL UPDATE
Canal Engineering is proud to announce that Carl is now an employee at the company and has now started his Intermediate Apprenticeship Course at the CEATA Training Academy.
